We believe…

1)  The Bible is the inspired and infallible word of God, and is the final authority for matters of faith and conduct. (Psalm 119:89; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Peter 1:24-25) Therefore, the Scriptures cannot be changed or compromised by cultural, political, or personal interpretations that may become popular. (Matthew 5:18)

2)  There is one God, eternally existent in three persons – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who created the universe, including mankind in His image, by a direct act. (Genesis 1 & 2; John 1:1-3)

3)  God created humans to be in relationship with Him, but sin separates us from God. (Romans 3:23)

4)  Jesus Christ is God incarnate, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died to pay the penalty for our sins, was buried, and rose again. (Matthew 1:23; 1 Peter 1:18-21)

5)  Salvation is by grace, through faith in Christ, apart from works and is available to all. (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9)

6)  The Holy Spirit is present in the lives of all true believers. (Ephesians 1:13-14)

7)  In the spiritual unity of believers in the Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 12:12-13)

8)  God uniquely creates each person as male or female and together we reflect the image and nature of God. (Genesis 1:26-27) Therefore, human life is sacred and we are called to defend, protect and value all human life. (Psalms 139:13-16; Isaiah 1:17)  Rejection of one’s biological sex is a rejection of the image of God within that person.

9)  The term “marriage” means the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as outlined in Scripture (Gen 2:18-25). Sexual intimacy is appropriate only within such a relationship. (1 Corinthians 6:18; 7:2-5; Hebrews 13:4) Therefore, any sexual activity outside of marriage is sinful and offensive to God. (Matthew 15:18-20; I Corinthians 6:9-10)

Christian Heritage School holds an orthodox view of Scripture, interpreting it as it has been generally understood by the church for centuries. In the event that an interpretation of the Bible becomes necessary, the Christian Heritage School board will be the final arbiter of all interpretation regarding faith and conduct.
