Patriot Pride Country Auction

(Over 1300 items with approximately $38,000 raised!)

THANK YOU!!

  • To the one who had an idea 18 years ago to have a fundraiser in the form of a benefit auction and the ones that have helped her since that time. We have built on your idea and were able to raise $38,000 for the school. These same individuals were still working in their same capacity on Saturday, beginning their work several months ago. Now that's dedication!
  • To those people and others who spent months in the basement going through thousands of items. They sort, value, clean, and enter items in the computer. Then many treasures get sent to the Organizer of the Rummage Sale for her and her helpers to sort, clean, and price. Their spectacular display at the Rummage Sale generated $1,300 in sales! That's a lot of quarters!
  • To the Solicitation Chairman and her Committees that divide themselves between the communities and seek donations from area businesses. This is not an easy task, but a vital role in the auction's success.
  • To the one who processed the hundreds of gift certificates that were donated (and still coming in the day before the auction). It's a time consuming job.
  • To the one who created the computer program designed specifically for the CHS Auction and flies in from Ohio each year to be here for support. We thank you.
  • To the 25 people that came in the week of the auction to set up and create such a wonderful atmosphere in the gym and on the stage. Some were involved with the Reardan and Davenport Auctions, but still made the time to help at Christian Heritage. It's wonderful to be able to all work together in our communities for the benefit of our kids. And to a couple of people in the community who said "What can I do to help" and came to help after hours.
  • To the Cooks preparing the homemade meals offered at the auction. Eight dozen cinnamon rolls and the breakfast casserole were sold out in an hour! We appreciate the 30 Servers and Cashiers working throughout the day, keeping the line moving. And to the one that had to leave home at 6:00 A.M. to pick up 60 dozen Krispy Kremes that were all sold by noon!
  • To the 20 people that kept Registration, Processing and Checkout running smoothly and the 15 Security people that monitored the Silent Auction bidding, the 16 Table Carriers that hustled when a section closed and then set up for seating for the Live Auction. And to the 2 that were clearing the tables at the close of each section.
  • To the one that organized the very successful Envelope Extravaganza that raised $1,000 in 5 minutes.
  • To the Parking Lot Attendants who dealt with the overflow of traffic and quickly organized a shuttle service to downtown to accommodate the vehicles that wouldn't fit in the school parking lot.
  • To the Announcer who graciously agreed to take on the job, having never been to this auction before. He did an awesome job and made the Silent Auction more exciting.
  • To the Score Clock Keeper that made it easy for the volunteers to close a section.
  • To the Auctioneer, Spotter, Clerk and Runners for keeping the Live Auction running smoothly. It's an enjoyable and entertaining Live Auction.
  • To the Teachers and Students for their donation of their classroom baskets that brought in thousands.
  • To the 13 workers who monitored babysitting and to the mystery people who set up the babysitting room the day before. That was really appreciated.
  • To the smiling faces that were assigned to greet the volunteers and greet the shoppers. What a great way to start the day!
  • To the ones that worked in the Holding Area, making sure everyone got home with their correct items, we thank you. And to the ones that quietly clean up afterwards, you're awesome.
  • To the Office Administration and Staff who so willingly gave their time just doing whatever needed to be done. They weren't given much time in some cases, but they always kept things rolling and seemed happy to do it. They spent many extra hours making sure everything was completed. And it was so great to see the many CHS Alumni, with some still volunteering. And to the current students in high school and elementary, your help was noticed and appreciated.
  • To the shoppers that come from Edwall and the neighboring towns year after year, your dedication each year is amazing. We always know we can count on your support. It makes for fun, friendly bidding too. To the shoppers that came who would also be attending the Reardan and Davenport Auctions...that meant a lot. It was pretty much "Auction Day" in Lincoln County with each auction being vital to their school. It's so important that we support ALL of them. To the new faces that have never attended, we hope you'll be back next year.
  • To the ones bidding in the Live Auction that resulted in $21,000 alone......and the ones that would purchase an item and then turn it back for a second bid.......incredible generosity!
  • To the families and businesses who donated items and cash to the auction, it is greatly appreciated.
  • To the first time shopper that said "This is really a fun day!" To the parent that was so thankful for all the volunteers; and to the shopper who said "there sure are a lot of workers." These positive comments were all greatly appreciated and encouraging. To the volunteers that couldn't be there due to last minute conflicts, you were missed but we'll see you back next year.
  • As you can see, it takes many players to make up THIS TEAM. We don't have a "Starting 5"; we have a "Starting 125". Thank you to the Players (volunteers) and the Spectators (shoppers). You could really feel the TEAM SPIRIT.
